Labor Day ~ September 5th, 2022
Labor Day, honors workers and recognizes their contributions to society. Labor Day is celebrated on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Many celebrate this day by having a BBQ or just enjoying a quiet day of relaxation at home or outside.

Exhibition: Free Our Seas – Closing Weekend at Flamingo Gardens
This is the final weekend guests can view Free Our Seas’ “Flotsam Fauna” exhibit of sculptures created by Free Our Seas and Beyond from more than 1,000 pounds of marine debris found on the shores of South Florida beaches which highlight the importance of ocean conservation. Inside the “Pollution Solutions” exhibit in the Gallery, guests will discover some fascinating facts about our oceans, mangroves and the Everglades, and some simple solutions to the pollution that threatens their existence.
Weekend Activities:
- Live entertainment by saxophonist Reuben Gonzalez, from 1pm – 3pm.
- Kids’ Corner free conservation activities from 10am – 4pm.
- Conservation booths presented by Free Our Seas and Beyond, the NSU Alvin Sherman Library and the Museum of Discovery & Science STEMobile.
The Free Our Seas and Beyond booth will have alternative, eco-friendly items available for purchase and will help kids learn about ocean pollution with a conservation craft project.
Las Olas Oceanside Park Farmers, Antique and Artisan Market
Taking place every Saturday from 9 am – 4pm, the Las Olas Oceanside Park Farmers, Antiques and Artisan Market features an eclectic array of traditional market fare. Visitors will delight in the 40+ local and artisan vendors displaying a fine selection of organic produce, international cheese, baked goods, plants, clothing, jewelry, art and so much more.
Enjoy Hollywood Beach and Broadwalk
